Mabel is a School Improvement Leadership Coach with TenSquare, oversees performance audits, supports teacher recruitment services, and is the North Carolina lead. She has more than 15 years of experience as an educator. She served as the founding principal at Bedford Stuyvesant Collegiate Charter School (An Uncommon School) where she served as principal for five years. Her teaching experience spans middle school and high school in NYC and Boston public schools (Roxbury Prep, Boston Prep). During her tenure, Bedford Stuyvesant Collegiate consistently earned the highest rating, an A, on the NYC report card. She was also a lecturer at the University of Maryland in the Academic Achievement Program. Mabel holds a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College, Principal Administrative Certification in School Leadership from Boston University, and a Master of Arts in Educational Theatre and English Education, from New York University.
