Jeff Cooper

Senior Executive, Operations & Finance

Jeff builds the capacity of school operations and financial leaders, and he helps partner schools improve operational and financial practices. From 2009 until 2014, Jeff served as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at Cesar Chavez PCS for Public Policy. At Chavez, Jeff solidified structures and revamped the organization, resulting in removal from charter warning and then achieving a 15-year charter renewal. Prior to Chavez Schools, Mr. Cooper spent 20 years as a leader in the private sector. He helped build and lead Capital One’s Enterprise Risk Management function. Prior to Capital One, Jeff was a Senior Manager in Deloitte Consulting’s Finance Operations and Strategy Practice where he helped numerous clients reduce cost, increase revenue and generally improve the efficiency of their operations. Jeff has a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Duke University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
